A little East Coast swagger is coming to the desert, served medium-rare. From June 13-26, the Steakhouse at Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage, at 32250 Bob Hope Drive, will transform into a pop-up version of Red Horse by David Burke, the acclaimed modern American steakhouse known for bold flavors, artistic presentation and whimsical takes on fine dining. This marks the launch of Raising the Steaks, a new culinary series by Agua Caliente showcasing guest chefs through immersive dining experiences. Chef David Burke is a culinary heavy hitter with 17 restaurants, a line of products, and a reputation for food that’s creative and delicious. The collaboration also brings a bit of Burke’s design flair to the space, with signature red-and-white wallpaper. Eerie Folk

Experience out-of-this-world soundscapes alongside an out-of-this-world view! At 7 p.m., Saturday, June 14, a group of experimental artists will explore abstract folk music at Más o Menos, at 66031 Twentynine Palms Highway, in Joshua Tree. Oldest Sea, Brother Dragon, Kathryn Mohr and CocoVera are all set to bring their beautifully concocted musical warpings to the high desert. Celebrate Monster Plush Elves

One of the hottest current collectors’ items gets its own rave night! At 10 p.m., Saturday, June 14, check out the Labubu Rave at Sirocco Bar and Lounge at Hotel Zoso, at 150 S. Palm Springs knows how to throw a party—and this Father’s Day, it’s going full cannonball cool. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, June 15, head to the Shag House, at 660 Compadre Road, for Madd Men: A Father’s Day Celebration, a cheeky, retro poolside affair celebrating dads in all forms—pops, papis, zaddies, Daddies and even dog dads. Set in the Shag House, a reimagined 1958 Alexander home turned into a live-in Shag painting, the event will include brunch bites by On the Mark, with libations like old fashioneds, whiskey sours, vodka lemonades and, of course, mimosas. Story, Song, Soverignty

Three-time U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo headlines this year’s Native American Arts Festival Week, taking place Monday through Friday, June 16-20, at Idyllwild Arts, at 52500 Temecula Road, No. 38, in Idyllwild. The weeklong celebration is a tribute to living Indigenous arts, foodways, storytelling and community, curated and led by Shaliyah Ben (Diné). The festival begins on Monday, June 16, with Renegades of Art, an invitational exhibition curated by Pamela Peters (Diné), featuring works by Native artists who explore resilience through murals, mixed media and ancestral presence. An artist panel starts at 7 p.m., followed by a Native food tasting reception at 7:45. The week includes lectures, music and film screenings, and culminates with Welcoming Home the Birds, honoring the Cahuilla and Serrano peoples with a Native art market, hands-on cultural activities and bird singing at sunset.
