The rhythms of Ghana will be heard in Palm Springs! At 7 p.m., Saturday, March 1, Ghanaian singer, dancer, guitarist and composer Okaidja Afroso will present his project Jaku Mumor: Ancestral Spirit at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, at 2300 E. Baristo Road, in Palm Springs. The multimedia and live music show will tell Afroso’s personal story through percussion, singing, guitar and more. What happens when Jesus Christ is found … in a hickey? At 11 a.m., Sunday, March 2, enjoy “an enhanced stage reading” of The Love Bite, a new comedic play by Luke Yankee, at the Annenberg Theater, inside the Palm Springs Art Museum, at 101 N. Museum Drive, in Palm Springs. The story starts with a makeout session in an Irish town, and evolves into hilarity from there. Legendary actress Joyce Bulifant will be one of the featured performers! At Stephen Baumbach Gallery, at 4116 Matthew Drive, enjoy The Art of Three featuring the works of abstract impressionist painter Roberto Amaral, landscape photographer Kevin Burke, and “techspressionist” Reese Schroeder. Celebrate pride with a weekend of fun! From Friday, March 7, through Sunday, March 9, the ninth annual Cathedral City LGBT+ Days will commence! Victorian England Comes Alive

Desert Theatricals is bringing a production of Oliver! The Broadway Musical, to the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater, at 71560 San Jacinto Drive, from Friday, March 7, through Sunday, March 9. Based on the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist, the Tony Award-winning show was made into a 1968 film, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. This classic story follows Oliver Twist on his journey from orphan to hero.
