Musical in Two Acts

One of my husband’s favorite musicals, Falsettos, is coming to Dezart Performs at the Pearl McManus Theater, at 314 S. Cahuilla Road, in Palm Springs. The company’s last show of the season is both hilarious and heartbreaking—a Tony Award-winning play that tells a story of family, bar mitzvahs, baseball and AIDS. The show runs at 7 p.m., Friday; and 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, from April 18-27. Shows tend to sell out quickly, although they assure me that they can add seating at times. Tickets are $57 and can be purchased at dezartperforms.org. —Charles Drabkin
