Artists Council Presents ‘Wrap It Up!’ Holiday Art Show and Sale

Art enthusiasts and holiday shoppers are in for a treat at the upcoming Wrap It Up! Show and Sale. This event features an exquisite collection of 2-D and 3-D artworks, specifically curated to include smaller items perfect for gift-giving. The Wrap It Up! show highlights the talent of local Coachella Valley artists with a diverse range of artwork that fits neatly into a suitcase. “This show is all about celebrating our local artists while providing a unique shopping experience,” said a customer. “With beautifully crafted pieces that are easy to travel with, it’s the perfect opportunity to find that special holiday gift. Wrap It Up! offers something for everyone.” Purchases support the operation and educational programming of the Artists Council. A Familiar Face on The Bent’s Stage

A local one-act play features an acting legend! Beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, check out The Bent theater company’s latest show, I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers, featuring Cathy Moriarty, whom you may know from films like Raging Bull, Kindergarten Cop, and Casper. It takes place at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, 2300 E. Baristo Road, in Palm Springs. Moriarty will play the role of Sue Mengers, one of Hollywood’s first female super-agents and talent managers. Performances run on weekends through Dec. 22, and tickets are $75. Celebrate Palm Springs’ Historic Inns

From 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, boutique hotels in Palm Springs will open their doors for a family-friendly and dog-friendly, free self-guided Walk of the Inns. This annual Palm Springs Small Hotels event is eagerly anticipated by locals and visitors all year. The Palm Springs Art Museum, at 101 Museum Drive, serves as a jumping-off point where you can pick up a free map and flashlight (while supplies last) for the self-guided tour of hotels between Ramon Road and Tahquitz Canyon Way. The blues are coming to Indio … for a good cause. At 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, local guitar repair shop “World Famous” Repairland is hosting A Blue’s Christmas at Little Street Music Hall, 82707 Miles Ave., in Indio. Blues rockers Delta Fuzz and other Coachella Valley blues-ers will perform, while guests will be treated to drinks, and a meal from Beautiful Day Farm to Table Restaurant and Wine Bar, a new place coming to Indio in 2025. Proceeds from the event will go toward Repairland’s instrument drive, sponsored by Honda and Toyota of the Desert, where the wizard Jayce Levi will be fixing up busted and broken donated instruments before giving them to students. Floats, displays, music and cheer will all be present for the parade, and the holiday festival, at Palm and Pierson Boulevard, is set to include a tree-lighting, photos with Santa, and so much more!
