Jeffrey Billman has worked as an investigative reporter, newspaper editor, magazine feature writer, columnist, and New York Times stringer, among other things. Most recently, he edited INDY Week, a newspaper covering North Carolina’s Research Triangle. He’s held previous editing roles at Folio Weekly, Philadelphia Magazine, and Philadelphia City Paper, and was a staff writer at the Orlando Weekly. Based in Durham, he currently runs the daily newsletter Primer: North Carolina, writes the syndicated column Informed Dissent and features for the health care site No Patient Left Behind, and freelances for various other publications and organizations.
