Happy June! As temps increase, some venues slow down, but there are still plenty of opportunities to indulge in entertainment Here’s what the desert has to offer this month.

Acrisure Arena is hosting two very different shows. At 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, the “Queen of Latin Music” Shakira will bring hip-shaking action and genre-blending pop to Palm Desert. Tickets start at $196.40. At 7 p.m., Saturday, June 20, folk-music legend Bob Dylan will pull from his Nobel Prize-winning discography to share unique renditions of his hits and deep cuts. Fantasy Springs features moving music and amusing comedy. At 8 p.m., Friday, June 12, Latin pop legend Edith Márquez and her emotional ballads may require some tissues! Tickets start at $52.50. At 8 p.m., Saturday, June 20, ventriloquist, impressionist, standup comedian and singer Terry Fator, with his group of hilariously harmonious puppets, will showcase both jokes and jams. At the Plaza Theatre, catch music, movies and marvelous theater! At 7 p.m., Monday, June 1, the Marilyn 100 film celebration wraps with a screening of The Misfits, featuring Monroe’s final performance. Tickets are $20. At 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 5, two disparate music worlds—prog rock and yacht rock—combine in the discography of Ambrosia. Experience both technical and tranquil tunes! Tickets start at $57.35. Check out a modern edition of a classic drama at what’s being called the Desert Shakespeare Festival, as A Midsummer Night’s Dream will grace the Plaza stage at 2 and 8 p.m., Saturday, June 13. Tickets start at $38.25. At 3 p.m., Sunday, June 14, soprano star and local theater favorite Michelle Fiore and friends will enchant crowd. Tickets start at $25. The McCallum is hosting two performances before the venue’s summer break. At 1 and 7 p.m., Saturday, June 13, the McCallum Theatre Jazz Experience will offer blissful instrumentals and powerhouse vocals! Local talent will take the stage for the Community Jazz Jam at 1 p.m., and David Benoit, with Courtney Fortune and the Pacific Jazz Orchestra Quartet, will grace the stage at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the 1 p.m. show, while tickets for the 7 p.m. show start at $25. Morongo is offering two headliner concerts. At 9 p.m., Friday, June 5, experience the Sinaloa sounds of Banda Carnaval, a group with deep roots in the regional Mexican genre. Tickets start at $47. At 9 p.m., Friday, June 19, hip-hop heavyweight E-40, known for a couple of 2000s and 2010s hits that have gained popularity in the TikTok generation, will head to Cabazon. Spotlight 29 has a concert and plenty of comedy. At 8 p.m., Saturday, June 27, corrido singer/songwriter Gerardo Coronel “El Jerry” will perform majestic regional Mexican music. Tickets start at $38.80. Honest Goodness Comedy Fridays welcome hilarity from DoKnow (June 5), Don Hefty (June 12), Forrest Shaw (June 19), and Edwin San Juan (June 26). Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage has two events at The Show on the June calendar. At 8 p.m., Saturday, June 6, extraordinary comic Jerry Seinfeld brings his Seinfeld charm and observational humor to the desert. Tickets start at $137. Agua Caliente Palm Springs is rockin’ with the residency events! Desert Blues Revival Wednesdays feature creosote country from locals Kimberly Cofer and the Tumbleweeds (June 3), up-tempo blues from Juke Joint Preachers (June 10), Latin funk grooves from Funk Monks (June 17) and power-trio rock from The Alvarez Band (June 24). Shows are at 7 p.m., and tickets start at $17.85. Carousel Thursdays showcase organic music from the Carey Frank Organ Trio (June 4), a tribute to fiery flugelhorn star Chuck Mangione from Tom Marino (June 11), a double dose of soulful swagger from Mimi and Kierra Brie (June 18) and vibey vibraphone excitement from Sasha Berliner (June 25).
