Rob Moon and Bob Hammack hosted Tools for Tomorrow’s Picasso-level VISIONARY supporters, sponsors and guests at a cocktail party on Thursday, Feb. 9, in their Steve Chase-designed home.

Tools for Tomorrow alum Jose Luis Munoz delighted the crowd by playing his saxophone, accompanied on piano by TFT program director David Hirsch. TFT VISIONARIES membership director Terri Neuman chaired the event. Lulu’s Events and Catering provided the refreshments. TFT board member Judy Mathes donated the wine, and board member Linda Rider underwrote the valet parking.

The afternoon’s highlight was actress Joyce Bulifant’s presentation of TFT’s Lifetime Philanthropy Award to longtime supporter David W. Bryant. As a successful businessman, Bryant said he appreciates how Tools for Tomorrow, founded 24 years ago by his sister Rachel Druten, devotes the vast majority of its funds to the free after-school arts literacy program that directly benefits the Coachella Valley’s elementary school students with its integrated theater, music, creative writing and visual arts curriculum.

Save the date: On July 23, “Christmas in July” at The Roost Lounge will benefit Tools for Tomorrow.
