The cast of The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee.

Revolution Stage Company (611 S. Palm Canyon Drive, in Palm Springs) has developed quite a following. Watch as an eclectic group of sixth-graders (played by adults) try to win the eponymous spelling bee, each for their own reasons. This toe-tapping musical has been described as “perspicacious,” “jocular” and “effervescent.” Tickets are $45, with discounts available; more information can be found at revolutionstagecompany.com/putnam-county-spelling-bee. —Charles Drabkin
