The time is August 1993. The set is the living room and adjoining patio area of the Ojai home of a married couple, Corky and Norm. They are preparing to entertain another couple for an evening of stargazing and getting-to-know-you.

Valerie-Jean Hume’s career has included working as a stage/film/commercial/TV/voiceover actress, radio personality/host, voice and speech teacher, musician, lounge singer, cruise-ship hostess, theater director, newspaper columnist, playwright, model and college teacher. VJ has been an Independent theater critic since 2013. Canadian-born, she came to the desert in 1987 after traveling the world.
