Mama’s House Ministries has announced plans for its Second Annual Charity Golf Classic and Dinner Show, on Friday, March 24, at the Indian Wells Country Club.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary milestone, Mama’s House is the only residential home within the Coachella Valley offering a safe, supportive, loving and nurturing environment for women experiencing crises while pregnant and/or with an infant or small child, who have no place to go and no means of support.
“Mama’s House has always dreamed of hosting its own annual charity golf classic,” said Jan Lupia, founder and executive director of Mama’s House. “So, when our founding board member Dr. Vincent Nola informed me his neighbors, Jeroen Sparreboom and his wife, Yin Tchen, wanted to help us launch it, I was thrilled.
“Last year’s event was so successful that Mama’s House is pleased to host the Second Annual Charity Golf Classic and Dinner Show, featuring Oh What a Night!, a special musical tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This event will raise much-needed funds for the Mama’s House mission, and also support our expansion campaign to complete the build and operate the new Anne Silverstein Campus for Mama’s House.”
The Charity Golf Classic and Dinner Show will be held at Indian Wells Country Club on its renowned Cove Course, a par-72 classic designed by the club’s founder, Eddie Susalia, and Ted Robinson Sr.
“The view of the mountains from the front nine is breathtaking, and I love the back-nine stroll into the mountains,” said Paul Cox, PGA director of golf at Indian Wells Country Club. “The Cove Course is just a pleasure to play, and it is such fun to take someone out there for the first time and watch the reaction to this stunning backdrop.”
This year’s Charity Golf Classic and Dinner Show is being co-chaired once again by Dr. Vincent Nola, Jeroen Sparreboom and his wife, Yin Tchen.
This year’s not-to-be-missed dinner show will feature Oh What a Night!, a musical tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Conceived and directed by award-winning Broadway producer/director Michael Chapman, and written by Motown producer and creative consultant George Solomon, this blockbuster musical performance will feature many hits from the dynamic songbook of those boys from Jersey, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “My Eyes Adored You,” “Working My Way Back to You,” “Let’s Hang On” and “Who Loves You.” Oh What a Night! has played to sold-out theaters, showrooms and arenas since its premiere in Las Vegas in 2008.
“With the success of the inaugural event last year, encompassing both the golf tournament and the dinner show, we strongly feel we will garner even more support and attendance this year,” said co-chairs Jeroen Sparreboom and Yin Tchen. “I want to thank, in advance, all of our returning, as well as new supporters. Each child saved by Mama’s House is a part of the future of our beloved country.”
