This article would lead (mislead) one to believe that amendments proposed via the states are somehow less legitimate, and possibly even dangerous. Firstly, this would not be a Constitutional Convention, but a Convention to discuss and propose amendments that must be within the specified scope of the resolutions passed by 2/3 if the states. Therefore no chance of a runaway convention. Secondly, just as Amy other amendment that came before, it would have to be passed by 3/4 of the states. Personally I feel there is much to fear in our present state of affairs with overreaching Federal government, including a judiciary that is essentially making laws instead of the legislature; not to mention the myriad agencies, representing none of our votes, who are regulating so many aspects of our lives. There are two ways to amend our Constitution for a reason, well thought out by the framers. It's time we use it.
